Dr. Allen is the CEO of Seed Time Harvest Time Consulting. She was a teacher with the Richmond County Public School System for 12 years. Dr. Allen earned a BA degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work. She went on to earn a Master of Education degree in Special Education and an Educational Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Not-for-Profit Organization.

Dr. Allen has written and submitted grant proposals and applications on behalf of faith-based organizations and has even served as a grant reviewer for the US Department of Health and Human Services, US Department of Education, US Office of Justice Programs, Georgia and New York Departments of Education. Noteworthy, she has met eligibility requirements to serve as a grant/peer reviewer for the following federal agencies:  Corporation for National and Community Servie, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Justice Programs, Office of Community Service, Institute for Youth Development, and the Office of Higher Education and Post Secondary Education.
